Free bachata classes with Daniel & Tom

Everything on this page is free to watch right now. No account, no card, nothing to cancel. Start with the beginner course if you want a path to follow, or dip into the tutorials if you would rather just hear how we teach before deciding anything.

The beginner course

Start from the basic step, one lesson a week

A full beginner course, released one lesson at a time so you actually practise each one before the next arrives. It starts with timing, posture and your first turn, then builds through solo footwork and partnerwork: the box step, the rotation turn, the V-step, side by side, the cuddle hold, taps and flares.

New lessons premiere weekly. Already released lessons are watchable any time. Open the course on YouTube →

Tutorials, styling tips and honest bachata talk

This is the less structured half, and it is where most people get a feel for whether our way of teaching suits them. Partnerwork combinations you can take to a social, a class on the basic step, how to avoid back pain while dancing, a golden tip about hand styling, and the Bachata Talk episodes where we say what we actually think: that bachata is improvised rather than a list of combinations, how to lead with confidence, and whether it is better to dance with beginners or with people better than you.

And when you want more

What the videos cannot do on their own

Most people who buy a dance course never finish it. That is not a discipline problem. It is what happens when you are handed a pile of videos and no idea which one to open tonight. Inside Bachata Online the course is only half of it:

  • Plan your next session. Pick the time and the lesson, and it is waiting for you when you sit down.
  • Ask us what to work on. Tell us where you are stuck and we tell you what comes next.
  • See what is actually landing. Every lesson tracks what you understood, what you practised, and what you can dance.
  • Every path, one place. Musicality, lady style and partnerwork, with new lessons added every month.

Your first month is 19 on any plan

We write a new guide every week: the basic steps, how long it really takes to learn, how to count the music, what to expect at your first social, and how bachata differs from salsa and kizomba.
