Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 29 June 2026

Our commitment: we want Bachata Online to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we keep improving.

Standard we follow

We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA published by the W3C. WCAG 2.1 AA is the international benchmark for digital accessibility and is the standard referenced by accessibility laws in the regions where our members live, including the European Union (European Accessibility Act / EN 301 549) and the United States (ADA and Section 508). Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review the site regularly.

Accessibility features

An accessibility menu is available on every page (the ♿ button in the lower-left corner). It lets you:

  • Enlarge text across the site.
  • Switch to a higher-contrast colour scheme.
  • Underline all links so they stand out from body text.
  • Reduce motion: turns off animations and transitions.

Your choices are saved on your device and stay on as you browse.

How we build for accessibility

  • Semantic, keyboard-navigable HTML with visible focus indicators.
  • Meaningful text alternatives for images and controls.
  • Respect for your system "reduce motion" preference.
  • Colour combinations chosen for readable contrast.

Known limitations

Some lesson videos are delivered through Vimeo; captions and player accessibility depend partly on Vimeo. We are progressively adding captions and reviewing third-party components. Despite our efforts, some pages or components may not yet be fully accessible. If you hit a barrier, please tell us, it helps us prioritise.

Getting help another way

If any part of the Service is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the information or assistance you need through an alternative channel, and work to fix the barrier.

Tell us about a problem

If you experience any difficulty using the site, need content in a different format, or want to report an accessibility problem, please email us:

📧 contact.bachataonline@gmail.com

We aim to respond within a few business days and to resolve accessibility issues as quickly as we can.
